Coaching Staff
Coach Ski is the athletic director/head football coach. He is married to his wife, Tesha, who also teaches at Lefors ISD. Together they have three sons, Christopher, Trevor and Reilly.
Coach Ski graduated from San Angelo high school and earned a B.A. degree in composite Social studies from Angelo state University in 1995. He has also earned 27 graduate hours towards a Masters degree. He has 16 years of coaching experience, 9 of those years being at Lefors with 7 as the athletic director.
He is very proud of several accomplishments here at Lefors including first time ever 6 man playoffs in 2006 and continued making play-offs five out of six years, basketball playoffs in 2008/09 and 2009/10, and district track champions in 2005/06 and 2007/08.
Coach Turpen graduated from Lefors in 2002. He earned a B.S. degree in Health and Physical education from OPSU in 2009.
This is Coach Turpins third year of teaching here at Lefors. He currently teaches JH Social Studies and elementary P.E. He also coaches JH basketball, cross country and track as well as JH and Varsity tennis and is assistant coach for high school football and high school girls basketball.
Coach Riley graduated from Mclean high school in 1974 and then earned a bachelors degree in education from WTAMU in 1978. In 1993 he became certified in criminal justice from Sam Houston university.
Coach Riley taught/coached at Mclean ISD from 1978-1990 and then in Mobeetie ISD in 1990/91. He became a parole officer and institutional counselor from the years 1991-2007 before going back into the teaching field in 2007. From 2007-2009 he taught at Groom ISD before coming to Lefors in 2009. He is currently teaching 6th/7th grade Science and 7th/8th grade History.
Coach Riley also coaches JH and High school football, basketball, track and golf.
He has been married for 34 years to Jacque Riley, who teaches in Mclean and together they have one daughter Randi Jo Bayless.
