Lefors ISD Transfer Request Information:
At Lefors ISD, we welcome transfer students! If you are interested in transferring, please note that the transfer request form must be thoroughly completed and submitted along with all required documentation.
Incomplete applications or missing paperwork will not be considered until everything is submitted correctly.
Please be aware that we are very strict with our transfer expectations. Transfer students must meet and maintain the following standards:
Maintain at least a 95% attendance rate
Maintain at least a 70% average in each class
Meet all applicable STAAR or other exit-testing requirements
Have no more than 3 discipline referrals to the office
Avoid chronic minor violations of the Student Code of Conduct, including but not limited to:
Repeated tardiness
Dress and grooming code violations
Not engage in any single major violation of the Student Code of Conduct, such as any offense punishable by:
Placement in a Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP)
Suspension
Expulsion

PROOF OF RESIDENCE REQUIRES
Basic Requirement (Everyone)
Current proof of residency to enroll
Student(s) must actually live at the stated address (sleep there 5+ nights a week)
If You OWN or RENT Your Home
Parent/Guardian Driver’s License with the stated address listed
2 Current utility bills (with your name, address, and most recent date)
Examples: Electric, Water, Cable, etc
Lease or rental agreement (if renting)
If You’re BUILDING a Home in the District
Parent/Guardian Driver’s License
Builder’s contract with completion date (must be within the current school year)
Later, you must provide:
Updated Driver’s License with new address
Utility connection proof for two utilities
If You’re Living With Someone Else
Your Driver’s License with stated address listed
Utility bill in the homeowner’s name
Notarized affidavit of residency
Random home checks from SRO to verify residency
If child isn’t with parent >> Court paperwork or Power of Attorney
