Accelerated Reader (AR) is Here!
We’re excited to announce that we’ve started using the Accelerated Reader program this year! AR helps students grow as readers by setting personalized reading levels and point goals each six weeks.
Here’s how it works:
Students read books that match their reading level.
After finishing a book, they take a short quiz to earn points.
Each student’s goal is unique and designed to help them progress at their own pace.
Students who maintain at least an 80% average on their quizzes and meet their points goal each six weeks will earn a special party as a reward for their hard work and dedication!
At the end of the year, we’ll host a big celebration for all students who have met their AR goals throughout the entire year!
The classes that participate in AR are 2nd - 12th. The 1st grade will start after the Winter Break.
