Starting the week of August 17, all 7th–12th grade girls who have signed up for volleyball or basketball will finish practice 30 minutes after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This time will be dedicated to strength and conditioning.

Any girl planning to play JH Basketball or Volleyball must have her completed physical paperwork turned in by Monday.
Students will not be able to practice or participate until the required physical paperwork is on file, so please make sure everything is submitted by Monday.

Pirate families, we’re excited to welcome everyone back tomorrow! A few reminders to help our first morning go smoothly:
🍳 Cafeteria: The cafeteria opens at 7:30 a.m. for breakfast.
🎒 Pre-K & Kindergarten: For the first day of school only, Pre-K and Kindergarten parents may walk their children to their classrooms.
📚 Secondary Schedules: Secondary students who do not have their class schedules may pick them up in the front office.
📝 Schedule Changes: Students who need or would like to request a schedule change should come to the front office and complete a schedule change form.
We can’t wait to see our Pirates tomorrow and kick off a great school year!

We are looking forward to seeing everyone on the front lawn at the Back to School Bash tonight from 4:30pm-6:00pm, Meet the Teacher from 6:00pm-7:00pm, and Meet the Pirates starting at 7:00pm!
Please note, if your child has not been registered online, they will not have a schedule ready to pick up.

We have are excited to try to add a new sport this year… VOLLEYBALL! 🏐 Football and cheer will still play in the Top of Texas Football League. Volleyball will be Optimist. We are also looking for volleyball coaches! In the event we do not have enough athletes to make a team, we can help parents cover the cost to play individually.

📚 Lefors ISD School Supply Giveaway! 🎒
Lefors ISD is excited to announce that FREE school supplies will be available for all Lefors ISD students for the 2026-2027 school year!
We are incredibly grateful to Somebody Cares High Plains for generously providing these school supplies for our students. Their generosity and commitment to supporting children and families will help ensure our Pirates are prepared for a successful school year.
In the spirit of supporting Pirate families and helping ease the financial burden of back-to-school expenses, students can pick up their school supplies during our Back to School Bash on Monday, August 10th from 4:30pm-6:00pm.
Each student will receive most of the supplies required for their grade level, including:
If you are unable to attend the Back to School Bash, please email Mrs. Brauchi at sup@leforsisd.net to reserve your student's school supplies for pickup at a later time.

If you're playing football, physicals and UIL paperwork need to be turned in on the 23rd of this month. You will not be able to practice until I have these documents. If you need one, come and grab one at the Fieldhouse during summer workouts.
