Due to current weather conditions, Lefors ISD will have a late start at 10:00am. The bus will run 2 hours late. We will monitor conditions and keep you updated.
As the weather warms up and we enjoy sunnier days, we would like to remind you of our school's dress code expectations. While we understand the excitement that comes with the changing seasons, it is important that students continue to dress appropriately for school.
-Clothing should be appropriate for a school setting and cover the midriff, back, and undergarments.
-Shirts should overlap the waistband of any garment.
-Shorts, skirts, and dresses cannot be shorter than 6 inches from the top of their kneecap.
-Any holes in pants must be no more than 6 inches above the kneecap.
We appreciate your support in maintaining a respectful and focused learning environment.
Due to expected high winds tomorrow, Tuesday, March 18th, the Varsity Tennis Tournament has been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 19th.
Additionally, we will have the Junior Ring Ceremony on Wednesday, March 19th, at 9:30 AM in the auditorium. Please make sure to be there to support our juniors as they receive their rings!

Important Weather-Related Bus Safety Announcement
Dear Parents & Guardians,
Due to today’s sustained winds of 40–50 mph with potential gusts up to 75 mph, we are taking extra precautions to ensure our students’ safety. Out of an abundance of caution, we are requesting that parents of children who typically ride the bus arrange to have them picked up at school at the regular dismissal time today.
If you are unable to secure transportation for your child, please call the school as soon as possible to discuss alternative arrangements. 806-835-2533

Early Release This Friday
This Friday, students will be released early due to the high school track meet. Please ensure you have made arrangements to pick up your child at the following times:
12:30 PM for students in Lefors
12:40 PM for transfer students at the bus stop

We will have school as scheduled tomorrow, Tuesday, March 4th. As we are in fire weather season, please be assured that we will keep parents informed should evacuation become necessary.
A reminder: students who drive to school will need to ride the bus with their class in the event of an evacuation and are not permitted to leave in their own vehicles, as they remain under the care of the school. Our priority is always to ensure the safety of all students, and we are committed to evacuating everyone in the quickest and safest manner possible.

Lefors Youth Sports is hosting a Hot Shot competition this Sunday February 23rd @ 1PM in correlation with the Senior Fish Fry. It is a $5 entry per competitor. If you need help covering the entry fee, Lefors Youth Sports will sponsor your athlete. All proceeds will benefit the Senior Class. Bring your family to have lunch and let your athlete shoot their shot at a trophy!
Hope Fest is tomorrow at the Lefors Civic Center from 11-2! Tons of free items available—no income requirements. They don’t want to take anything back, so come grab what you need! Volunteers needed for distribution. Check the Lefors page for photos and spread the word!
